Philosophy - Military Observance
Ladies & Gentlemen, Freedom is not Free!
Let us remember that Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Veteran’s Day is a very
special day.
Let’s remember those who have paid the ultimate price for our freedom.
Freezing to death at Valley Forge, PA and Pam Ko Gee, Korea.
Killed in a hail of gunfire at Fredericksburg, VA.
Slaughtered on the beaches of Omaha Beach in Normandy, France.
Killed by mortar fire on Firebase Ripcord in South Vietnam.
Blown to bits by a road side bomb in Afghanistan & Iraq.
And thousands upon thousands more who have lost arms, legs, eyes, and their minds.
They all took an oath to protect us and to defend our way of life against all
enemies, foreign and domestic, independent of politics, race, religion, or national origin.
They come from all walks of life, from every State and U.S. Territory.
Please, remember them, honor them, and pray for their families.
And, when you see a soldier or sailor in uniform, smile, shake their hand, and say thanks
for your service to our country.
Their spirit will be lifted as high as an eagle can fly!
